35 weeks

We hit 35 weeks on Thursday and I had my monthly appointment with my perinatologist on Friday. Here is what Te2 looks like now. The ultrasound tech said she was having a hard time getting good pictures of his face because he was pressed up so closely to my placenta. I guess he is running out of room!

For some reason I have never asked for them to show me where they were seeing palate involvement, so at this appointment I did. Dr. Smith (the perinatologist) said that it is still really hard to see the whole palate because he doesn't open his mouth wide for them to see inside. She was able to show us his upper gum line and where there is a gap in the bone. This pretty much confirms palate involvement, so now we know.

They got Te2 weighing in at 8 lbs today. Assuming he is truly 8 lbs and he gains the 1/2 lb a week he is supposed to gain between now and our due date of 10/24, we will have a 10 lb baby! Hopefully they are overestimating by a pound and he is only 7 lbs right now.

I should technically have one more appointment with Dr. Smith before my due date, however she does not think that we will make it to our due date, so we didn't schedule anything. If I am still pregnant at that point, then they will see me one more time.

Bike Derby!

Wills' preschool has a fall fundraiser that is a Bike Derby. Each class has a 30 minute time slot where they go outside and ride their bikes around the circle drive. Since Wills is in the 2 year old class, none of those kiddos can really ride a bike, so they are encouraged to bring a push toy or something else to do. They also used to have people pledge a donation per lap and they changed it this year to a flat donation. This is a good thing, because I think Wills only made a true lap one time. Otherwise, the kids were all over the place and kept "borrowing" each others toys/cars. Wills was probably on 5 different things, none of which were what we brought for him to use!

I am so thankful for the flexibility of my job that allows me to go these things. It was a lot of fun!

Arkansas

We have been to Arkansas a lot this month between Razorback football games and family birthdays. Here are some shots of all the fun we have been having!

First game of the season against Louisville. It was over 100 degrees at 3 in the afternoon. We won, so totally worth it!

Second game of the season against Southern Mississippi. Not nearly as hot and we won!

Carnival at St. Mary's Catholic Church:

This was Wills' first time on a "horse". He kept leaning forward and patting it saying "my horse".

Ethan's 5th Birthday Party:

Extra fun:
Cool guys at La Huerta

Fiesta at Immaculate Conception

Cinnamon roll at Calico County (Those familiar with these understand why it was a photo opp:))

I also have a picture of a bat we found stuck in the grill of our car. Thought that might be a little morbid/gross to post though!

32 weeks

So I keep getting remarks regarding my size, "You like like you're about to pop!", "Are you having twins?", "I don't think you will make it till the end of October.", etc. It's getting a little old. It did get me to thinking about how my bump compares to when I was pregnant with Wills. I have not been doing weekly photos this time around (again, second child neglect already), but decided maybe I should just compare. So here is probably one of the only, if not the only weekly photo for Te2.

So at 32 weeks, Te2 should be the size of a honeydew at 4.5 lbs and 19 inches.

Here is a side by side comparison

32 weeks with Te2               32 weeks with Wills

This definitely made me feel a lot better! My coke shirt is for sure looser this time around =)
