31 weeks

I don't really understand these repeat weeks, but it has happened again. This week Baby Te is still the size of head of lettuce, just a little bigger at 19 inches and 3.9 lbs.

There is no baby bump picture this week, because honestly I am way to tired to change clothes yet again. Instead you get a picture of Charles' baby bump!

This week baby Te is supposed to be the size of a head of lettuce, 18 inches and 3.2 lbs. According to my ultrasound last week, we know he is actually weighing in around 4lbs.

Baby Shower

I had my baby shower in Arkansas last weekend. It was so fun! Lots of friends and family were able to make it.

Chillin' in my chair of honor:

Here I am with my lovely hostesses:
Rachel, Lori, Sasha, Me, Suzanne, Angela, and Sara

And yes, three of the seven of us are pregnant. Rachel is due at the end of October and Angela is due at the beginning of September. Lots of friends for baby Te!

Here is the spread:

And the darling sign that will soon be hanging in baby Te's nursery:

Thanks girls for throwing such a great party for baby Te and me!

29 week check

So we have started doctor's appointments every 2 weeks. Went in today and everything looks good. Had our ultrasound to see if my placenta has lifted on it's own. Charles couldn't go with me, so my mom came up to go. She was excited about getting a chance for a sneak peek of her grandson. Good news is, my placenta did what it was supposed to do, and everything looks fine. Bad news is, baby Te is ornery. He did not want to cooperate and appeared to be snoozing away with both hands in front of his face. The ultrasound tech told us he is weighing in at 4 lbs and that I was measuring a week and a half ahead. Not sure what this means, but it was nice to hear that he is up to 4 lbs!

Lemon Crinkle Cookies

I decided to bake some cookies last night while watching The Biggest Loser. Probably not the most appropriate choice, but they did turn out yummy!

I saw these on another blog I read, http://www.domesticadventure.com/ and used the recipe found here: http://ldsliving.com/story/64185-food-dish-cookie-recipe-contest-winner-recipe

The only alterations I made were that I used whole wheat flour and I lined the cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Here is what the dough looked like:
The reason it is brown is because of the whole wheat flour. This makes them healthy cookies, right?

Pre baking

Out of the oven:

They are really good. Not to sweet, not that I have a problem with that!

This week baby Te is 17 inches and 2.9 lbs. That is apparently the size of a Chinese cabbage.

May Check Up

I had my monthly appointment today. My blood pressure was 100/60 and my belly is measuring on target. The baby's heartbeat is 140. I did the glucose test today to check for gestational diabetes. I was given the choice of orange or fruit punch. I doubt one was really better than the other, but I chose the fruit punch. Luckily it was really cold and I drank it super fast. I was told no news was good news and I didn't hear anything today. So yay, no gestational diabetes! I can keep eating my ice cream. I did gain 5lbs since my last visit which is not abnormal. I am just getting precariously close to Charles weight and I still have 13 weeks to go. I don't think I will be able to stay below him unless I can find a way to start bulking him up =)
