St. Francis

This weekend the Catholic church celebrated St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis is the patron saint of animals. So our church had a little get together on Saturday morning and you are invited to bring your pets to have them blessed by Father Rick. After the year Holly has been through, we already know she is blessed! Of course, we didn't think it would hurt to take her for an actual blessing. :)

There was a scripture reading, a blessing, and a prayer. Then the animals got sprinkled with holy water.

It had to be the first cold day of fall too!

This is pretty much all the dogs were doing to one another. Some major booty sniffing going on!

We couldn't get Holly to sit still long enough for a good picture. She was just way too excited and way to busy checking everything out. There were lots of dogs, a few cats, and a turtle and she wanted to see all of them. She had a great time, so we will definitely be taking her back next year!

Snow Days!

I love snow days. At least the first one. And usually the second one. But by today, the third one, I am so over it! Did you know that right now in Oklahoma City it is -1 degrees. Ridiculous!

Here are some pictures of our 12 inches of snow and a little video of Holly playing in it. I think she might be the only one who is still happy about the snow.

Charles and Holly

Holly is the first pet Charles has ever had. We have decided that it is probably a good thing he didn't have a dog when he was a little boy because he really likes to harass her now. I can't imagine what he would have done to her as a kid.

Here a just a couple of examples:
Holly in a box

He tried to put the lid on it and she totally freaked out.

And one of Charles' favorite activities, carrying Holly around.
You can tell she really enjoys this

Thank goodness he isn't a 10 year old boy anymore (for many reasons). Who knows what he would have done to her!
